About the FirstNet Eligibility course
Determining eligibility is the first step to close a FirstNet sale. The FirstNet Eligibility course was designed to help sellers ensure Eligibility and make it more likely that a submission went through the first time. It was also designed to reduce rejected submissions from 20% to 15%. User testing indicated a 5% reduction was likely.
These interactions and video created the foundation sellers needed to understand eligibility.
Tools & Skills
Five Questions
Sellers want to ensure compliance and have a “clean” submission. This interaction gave sellers five questions to help them determine the eligibility of an Agency or User role. The answer to each question and examples guided their next steps.
Tricky Users
Some Users are obviously eligible for FirstNet (e.g., an EMT). Other Users might trip sellers up. This interaction helped them determine the eligibility of a role. Thinking about the Five Questions and answers, how would you classify these roles?
Agencies and Users
An Agency might have both Primary (eligible) and Extended Primary (not eligible) Users. This interaction showed sellers common Agencies and Users. This interaction helped sellers put together what they knew about Agencies and Users by placing Users in the correct agency and categorizing Users as Primary (eligible) or Extended Primary (not eligible).
Eligibility Scenario Video
The second lesson in the course, Accurate Submissions, wrapped up with a scenario. As Eric talks with Bob, the owner of Metropolitan Energy, he applies what he knows about eligibility and documentation. Then, Eric discusses the opportunity with his sales manager, Kathy.
